There were at least a dozen more species of pollinators gathering victuals while they stimulated this Oregon grape, Mahonia aquifolium.
This was the official greeter a bit ago when we arrived at our digs in Ashland. Jill and I are at the OregonShakespeare Festival for a 4 play run staring tonight with Julius Caesar.
Jill and I saw this rough-skinned newt earlier today when we walked the South Meadow of Mount Pisgah Arboretum with some folks from the Emerald Chapter of the Oregon Native Plant Society.
Yesterday Matthew, Jill and Steve rode a ferry to Vashon Island and then another to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.
Matthew was an excellent tour guide at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium.

Yesterday we saw a small group of about 2 dozen robins. Today:
There are several hundred. Visualize twice the area of the picture to the left plus another small lot one house over to the right. The above is not the most dense area just the closest.
